おじゃまします 平谷地域交流センター 2024.8.30 Fri. - 9.1 Sun.

2024年8月に十津川村に滞在し、そこでの成果を平谷地域交流センターで発表した。 滞在中、十津川村が観光地として有名なこともあり、名産物のご飯や温泉付きの宿、川下りのレクリエーションなど、楽しめそうな内容が並んでいた。 土地には歴史があり多くの学びがあり、中心部には交流センターもあって、地元の人は村の外から来る人（観光客）にとても慣れていた。 作品のアイディアになりそうなことはいくつもあったが、あくまで外から来た立場での関わり方しか見つけることができなかった。 十津川村に来る道中、京都の市バスに乗っていると「ツーリストシップ」なるものの広報物が車内に貼られていた。 ツーリストシップとは、「旅先に配慮したり、貢献しながら、交流を楽しむ姿勢やその行動。」みたいだ。 そこで、十津川村においてツーリストとしてでしか関わりも持てなかったと感じる僕が、ツーリストから脱却するための「4までしかないツーリストシップ」の5について模索する試みを行った。

Ojamashimasu Hiratani Community Exchange Center 2024.8.30 Fri. - 9.1 Sun.

I stayed in Totsukawa Village in August 2024 and presented the results of my stay there at the Hiraya Regional Exchange Centre. During the stay, as Totsukawa village is famous as a tourist destination, there was a list of things to enjoy, such as rice with local specialities, accommodation with onsen (hot springs) and recreational activities such as river rafting. The land had a history and a lot to learn, there was an exchange centre in the centre and the locals were very used to people coming from outside the village (tourists). There were a number of things that could have been ideas for the work, but we could only find ways to relate to them from the standpoint of being from outside. On the way to Totsukawa Village, I was riding on a city bus in Kyoto and saw a notice on the bus advertising a ‘Tourist Ship’. Tourist-ship is ‘an attitude and behaviour of enjoying interaction while taking care of and contributing to the destination.’ It sounds like this. So, I, who felt that I could only be involved in Totsukawa Village as a tourist, attempted to find out about the 5 aspects of ‘Tourist-ship, which only goes up to 4’, in order to break away from being a tourist.
