搬入中、ここから公園を見ていると、こちらの方向を向いてバットを構え、バッティング練習をしている親子がいた。 少年は、空振りばかりしているようで、もしバットに当たったとしてもここまで届くことはなさそうだった。 しかし、もし彼がこの先練習を続けていたらここに届く日も来るかもしれない。 彼のだいたいの身長で、だいたい練習していた場所から見える位置に1番近くのバッティングセンターに置いてあるホームランターゲットを模した平面作品を設置した。

In the process of installation, I looked at the park from here and saw a father and son taking batting practice with bats poised facing in our direction. The boy seemed to be striking out a lot, and even if he did hit the bat, it seemed unlikely that he would reach here. However, if he continues to practice, he might be able to reach this level one day. I set up a painting that resembled a home run target placed at the nearest batting center, at his approximate height and in a position where he could see it from where he was practicing.
